It was a
minor sensation: Students participating in a project at the famous Harvard
University in the U.S. discovered four exoplanets in one fell swoop.
Detecting
planets outside our solar system is considered extremely difficult. Even
experts need sophisticated methods and very good telescopes. What’s yet more
amazing and interesting is that one of the four detected planets is what’s
known as a super-Earth.
