The Amethyst Mushroom, Looks Like It Contains The Entire Galaxy

Spectacular spores gleaming with purple and hues of blue and green are Amethyst mushrooms.

Diving into nature's enchanting world will never fail to charm you. There seem to be countless wonders out there to amuse us, and countless more waiting to find them for us!

If you've ever seen mushrooms with amethyst, I bet you'll never forget the sight! A whole galaxy in one mushroom!

These mushrooms were described in 1942 as Elaeomyxa Cerifera. Wide logs or stumps covered with leafy liverworts and moss are found on them. In order to liberate the extravagant sparkling spores, the fruiting structures split open.

One scientist among the many, Sarah Lloyd, fell in love with these mushrooms the moment she saw them on her property. She has collected about 1,700 matchboxes full of different species of fungi since then.

Wonderful!
